Secrets of the New
Bankruptcy Code
Putting your client
and you in control
C-5138
NEW CLASS
Congress made the most
sweeping changes to the Bankruptcy Bill in 20 years with
the Bankruptcy Abuse and Consumer Protection Act of
2005. Placing new burdens on debtors to gain
access to the bankruptcy courts, the rules have changed
for debtors facing foreclosure situations.
With
foreclosures on the rise, many homeowners are feeling
the squeeze of higher fuel prices, increased credit card
interest rates, and adjustable rate mortgages that are
adjusting upward. Sometimes a home sale is a good
option.
This course demonstrates for the real
estate professional how the distressed homeowner
can use the bankruptcy court to gain protection from
creditors and buy time to put their home on the market
with an agent rather than trying to sell a "distressed"
home.
