Foreclosure: Losing
the American dream
4 clock

C-4532
As a listing agent, how can
you help the home seller learn about some of the common
defenses to foreclosure? As a selling agent, how
can you find out as much as possible about a property that
is heading towards foreclosure and what are the risks
involved for buyers bidding at a foreclosure auction?
Even with a generous annual
appreciation rate in home values here in the Northwest,
public records statistics show over one thousand homes
currently in the foreclosure process in King County alone
and with a shortage of entry-level price range homes
available for purchase in some neighborhoods, first-time
buyers are sometimes competing with investors at foreclosure
auctions.
This
new four-hour course is the follow up to our popular class
on "The Short Sale" and is designed to help listing and
selling agents. During the first half, we will learn about
deed of trust foreclosures, their typical procedures, the
ways they can be averted, and general legal defenses to
them. The second half of the class focuses on the selling
agent side: Understanding what happens at a foreclosure
auction.
Through the use of lecture,
quizzes, case studies, and small-group exercises, real
estate agents will gain an understanding of foreclosures so
they can empower their home buyers and sellers with the
knowledge to make informed decisions.
This class may
sell out in all locations so please pre-register
early. Although we would love to accommodate all students,
training rooms will not be booked beyond capacity.
