Web 2.0 and Business 2.0
are used to describe new virtual business environments and
tools on the web allowing companies and consumers to share
information seamlessly in real time anywhere at any moment.
Today's real estate
industry faces a changing landscape. A new consumer with
different expectations and the use of technology are
rewriting the roles of brokers and agents. Competition is
increasing, creating pressure on commissions. Alternative
business models are emerging that are challenging the
traditional method of delivering services. The next few
years are very likely to see continued experimentation with
new business models. Although traditional brokerage is
expected to remain the dominant model for the immediate
future, it is likely to co-exist with many other types of
models, as well as gradually morph into a new definition of
"traditional."
We are in transition from traditional business models to a
marketplace that has a large variety of models: everything
from low to medium to high cost models and from low,
to medium to high service models. Are we are seeing a
shift to a multiple business model industry rather than a
revolution to a single new business concept? If so, what's
the logic and strategy behind your individual agent business
model?
In this four-hour course we will
help agents understand what’s driving the evolution of new
business models, how their own business model fits into the
larger real estate business landscape, how to understand
your competition, and how to implement changes within your
own business.
